Hello, ladies and gentlemen and all younger brothers and sisters, my name is TOUCH LA, was born 09 June 1973 and became an orphan following the deaths of my parents in 1977 in Preah Net Preah district, Battambang province. After 1979, I returned to live in my homeland in Kompong Speu province with my older brothers and sisters, as an orphan, I came across many hardships but where there is a will there is a way, I tried to study hard until graduated from University with a Bachelor’s Degree Information of Technology, in Phnom Penh year 2005.
I decided to open a Non-governmental organization CAMBODIA GLOBAL FUND in order contribute to the development of the country and assist orphans as much as I was able, I was extremely happy even though faced shortages. With support from friends and citizens as well as of foreigners, I always remember that at the initial establishment of this organization, there was hardly a table or chair to work at; later on charitable persons, companies and same of organizations provided ongoing sponsorship in the form office supplies.
I had never been abroad and it is only now that I have traveled to many countries. I hereby express my profound gratitude to the charitable persons, companies and same of organizations that had provided me with sponsorship. Last but not least, I would like to send a message to younger brothers and sisters, orphans and youths, to study hard, but they should not despair in life and not commit any activities that affect society and especially avoid abusing drugs and HIV/AIDS.
